GENERAL INFORMATION
A grand gathering for training, worship, sharing and fellowship ...
Every five years we look forward to PraisRing, one huge handbell festival held for all interested handbell groups and ringers. The year 2010 will be a great year for ringing and using this event to build your handbell ministry. Comments and evaluations from previous years are overwhelmingly positive as churches and groups continue to bring their handbell choirs together to learn ringing skills and new techniques, new music repertoire, and of course, enjoy the experience and fellowship with other handbell choirs from across our state. We have many new features this year that will meet your need, inspire you, and help your handbell ministry.
TINS (2-3 octave choirs) and COPPERS (4-5 octave choirs) will meet in the worship center. Schedule includes time for separate TINS and COPPERS rehearsals and combined mass rehearsals.
Comments from churches who attended State Handbell Festivals in years past include and are definitely not limited to. . .
“We use the festival format exclusively for selection of repertoire each year. This way, a qualified and respected group of church musicians collectively help me annually.”
“The event helps foster musical and spiritual growth within my handbell choir. It is exposed to other handbell choirs and offers encouragement as it sees and hears other choirs.”
“Spiritually, we have opportunities for development as we minister with our presence in their lives this weekend.”
“On Sunday, we led in worship by ringing and we have not played with such assurance all year. They felt proud of their gift they were offering on behalf of the congregation in worship.”
The festival sites and festival directors offer unique experiences in store for the handbell choir that makes the effort to attend. NC Baptist Music Festivals are still the best value in opportunities for growth and training of your handbell choir. Our festivals are open to any church, denomination, school, group or individual who are of like mind and principle. Of course, since the cooperative gifts of NC Baptist churches support this ministry and continued opportunities the contributing NC Baptist churches will receive first priority in space at each festival.
