2010 NC SENIOR ADULT CHOIR FESTIVAL

The Music and Worship Team of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina is sponsoring the 2010 Senior Adult Choir Festival to be held on Monday afternoon/evening, October 18, and Tuesday morning, October 19, at the Park Inn Gateway Conference Center in Hickory, NC. At the festival there will be fellowship, food, fun and most of all, plenty of other senior singers who love to make a joyful noise. Come join us for a wonderful event where every senior adult will find something to enjoy.
Any maturing and/or senior adult choir member may participate in this festival. Each choir will be responsible for making its own overnight lodging arrangements and meals. The festival will be filled with times of inspiration, fellowship and fun along with rehearsals culminating in a final worship/concert at lunchtime on Tuesday.
Making a return this year will be the opportunity to have your choir sing a selection for other senior adult choirs during the festival. This “Share-a-Tune” section has proven to be a popular segment of the festival. Consider having your senior adult choir sing for the festival when registering.
We invite you to come and join other senior adult choirs from across the state as we worship, fellowship with one another and sing great hymns and songs of faith.

Helpful information about the Senior Adult Choir Festival:
- Festival registration fee for 2010 is still under consideration. Registration covers costs for the festival.
- Purchase the festival anthems and learn them before attending the festival.
- Consider signing up to have your choir participate in the “Share-a-Tune” time either on Monday evening, or Tuesday morning.
- The deadline for registration is October 1!
Music
Each participating choir will be responsible for purchasing one piece of music for each of the anthem titles for the individual choir members participating in the statewide Senior Adult Choir Festival. Each choir is to learn the anthem thoroughly before coming to the festival. The music list for 2010 has yet to be determined. Please check back in mid-May, 2010. Thanks!
